摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive apparatus for hybrid vehicles which allows improvement of fuel consumption.SOLUTION: A drive apparatus 1-1 for hybrid vehicles includes an engine 1, a differential portion having at least three rotation elements (second planetary gear mechanism 20), a transmission portion which gear-changes rotation of the engine 1 and transmits to the differential portion (first planetary gear mechanism 10), a first rotary machine MG1 and a second rotary machine MG2, and a first ring gear 13, or an output element of the transmission portion, and a second carrier 24 of the differential portion are connected together. The transmission portion has an engagement device (clutch CL1 and brake BK1), and the change gear ratio of the transmission portion is switched according to an engagement state of the engagement device. In an open state of the engagement device, the revolution speed of the second carrier 24 of the differential portion is controlled on the basis of the total of the loss occurring in the transmission portion, the loss occurring in the differential portion and the losses occurring in the first rotary machine MG1 and the second rotary machine MG2 (steps S02 and S08).
