PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for production of soluble L-tryptophan oxidase and a specific and accurate method for measurement of L-tryptophan in a short time using the obtained enzyme.SOLUTION: The invention uses L-tryptophan oxidase comprising (i), (ii), and (iii): (i) a protein having a specific amino acid sequence, (ii) a protein having an amino acid sequence with 90% or more similarity to a specific amino acid sequence, and having L-tryptophan oxidase activity, (iii) a protein having L-tryptophan oxidase activity comprising deleting, substituting, and/or adding preferably 55 or less of amino acids in a specific amino acid sequence. The invention provides L-tryptophan oxidase in which an action against L-phenylalanine and L-tyrosine is 1% or less if an action against L-tryptophan is 100%, and a method for measurement of L-tryptophan using the L-tryptophan oxidase. |
