PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling switchover of travel states in accordance with user's needs.SOLUTION: A terminal device, incorporated in an automobile having a normal travel mode and an EV travel mode, includes: an input reception part for receiving an input of a given condition; a storage part for storing the condition received by the input reception part; a position obtainment part for obtaining a present position of the terminal device; a condition determination part for determining whether the present position obtained by the position obtainment part meets the condition by referring to the storage part; and a switchover instruction part for instructing the automobile to switch over the normal travel mode to the EV travel mode in a case where the condition determination part determines that the condition is met.
