<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of removing chips entangled with a tool effectively, without additional hardware, in a machine tool provided with a drive unit for rotary tools and/or two or more cutter holders including a cutter holder controllable in the movement position in the three-dimensional direction.SOLUTION: When a tool entangled with chips is detected by e.g. a camera, the tool entangled with chips (object tool) and a tool attached to another cutter holder (removal tool) are caused to approach each other, and the cutter holders attached with the tools are operated so that the removal tool moves around the object tool. As the removal tool, a rotary tool is effective.</p> |
