PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device which can have improved operability.SOLUTION: An operation device 1 is substantially configured to include: a touch pad 12 which has an operation surface 120 and detects an operation performed on the operation surface 120; a palm rest 14 which allows a hand of an operator to be placed thereon and has a pedestal 140 disposed in such a position that the operator can operate the operation surface of the touch pad 12 with his or her hand on the palm rest, and is configured so that the pedestal 140 is moved relative to the operation surface 120 on the basis of an operation performed on the pedestal 140; a movement detection unit 16 which detects the operation performed on the pedestal 140 of the palm rest 14; and a control unit 20 which outputs a control signal Sfor controlling a device to be controlled, on the basis of the combination of the operation performed on the operation surface 120 detected by the touch pad 12 and the operation performed on the pedestal 140 detected by the movement detection unit 16. |
