PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select the optimal restoration means in accordance with the state of the device, and to easily and automatically restore an abnormality.SOLUTION: A communication system 1 is configured of a pair of communication apparatuses 10A and 10B connected via a communication network. The communication apparatus 10A transmits opposite station firmware check bits 21 indicating the running state of firmware to the communication apparatus 10B. The communication apparatus 10B determines whether or not a running abnormality has occurred in the firmware in the communication apparatus 10A on the basis of the opposite station firmware check bits 21, and when determining that the running abnormality has occurred, transmits the opposite station control bits 22 indicating restoration means for restoring the running abnormality of the firmware to the communication apparatus 10A. The communication apparatus 10A performs restoration processing for restoring the running abnormality of the firmware on the basis of the opposite station control bits 22. |
