PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration of a lever type connector.SOLUTION: A lever 1 which can be displaced between a temporary engagement position and a main engagement position is assembled in a rotatable manner with a male connector including a cylindrical hood part 3. In the lever type connector, a cam follower 9 protrusively formed on an outer surface of a female connector is displaced along a cam groove 30 formed in the lever 1 by rotating the lever 1 from the temporary engagement position to the main engagement position in a temporary fitting state where the female connector is shallowly fitted into the hood part 3, such that the female connector is fitted to regular depth within the hood part 3. The lever 1 includes a main lock piece 25 and in the hood part 3, on the other hand, a release groove 10 is notched and formed for releasing the cam follower 9 until the female connector is fitted to the regular depth within the hood part 3. In the state where the lever 1 is located at the main engagement position, the main lock piece 25 is engaged at a groove edge of the release groove 10 and locked. |
