PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a lithium secondary battery which has superior ion permeability and dynamic characteristics, and good adhesiveness to an electrode.SOLUTION: A separator for a lithium secondary battery comprises: a piece of glass cloth impregnated with a non-porous binder resin and having a thickness of less than 25 μm. The content of the binder resin is more than 1 and less than 40 mass% to the mass of the piece of glass cloth. The separator for a lithium secondary battery is laminated to an electrode into one body and used. There is no restraint on the binder resin; the binder resin may be an epoxy resin, an urethane resin, an olefin-based resin, an aramid-based resin, a polyimide-based resin or the like. It is preferable that the binder resin is an olefin-based resin from the viewpoint of adhesiveness with an electrode, especially a negative electrode. |
