PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface emission laser module capable of performing APC (automatic power control) with high accuracy.SOLUTION: The surface emission laser module includes: a surface emission laser array including a plurality of surface emission laser elements; an optical member that transmits and reflects laser light emitted from the surface emission laser array; and a light-receiving element that receives the laser light reflected by the optical member. The surface emission laser element includes: a resonator including a light-emitting unit; reflection mirrors formed to oppose to each other interposing the resonator; and a dielectric material formed parallel to the emission surface of the surface emission laser element and having an inner edge having a symmetric shape. When the symmetry center of the inner edge is regarded as a hollow center of the dielectric material, the surface emission laser array includes the surface emission laser element satisfying such a condition that a perpendicular distance from the hollow center to the center axis of the emission surface is larger than 0.
