This invention provides an imaging device, imaging method, and image processing device whereby, by performing a reconstruction process on videos or still images for which said reconstruction process can be expected to be sufficiently effective in light of the relationship to the aperture value at which small-aperture blur dominates image degradation, image quality can be improved by said reconstruction process and the processing load on the circuits in question can be reduced. An imaging device (10) that constitutes one mode of this invention is provided with the following: an image generation unit (100) that generates video; a filter acquisition unit (105) that acquires a reconstruction filter corresponding to the transfer function for the point spread distribution of an optical system; an aperture-value detection unit (110) that detects the aperture value of said optical system; a reconstruction-process determination unit (115) that determines whether or not the aperture value detected by the aperture-value detection unit (110) is greater than or equal to a small-aperture-blur reference aperture value; and a reconstruction-process execution unit (120) that executes a reconstruction process, applying the abovementioned reconstruction filter to the abovementioned video, if the aperture value detected by the aperture-value detection unit (110) is determined by the reconstruction-process determination unit (115) to be greater than or equal to the aforementioned small-aperture-blur reference aperture value. |
