PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil movement type contactless battery charger having a simple and inexpensive configuration by placing a rechargeable battery wound by a power receiving coil on the battery charger and moving a power transmission coil to the vicinity of the rechargeable battery and capable of reducing transmission of a charge confirmation signal as much as possible.SOLUTION: The coil movement type contactless battery charger includes: detection means for detecting whether or not the rechargeable battery is placed on an upper surface of an upper case; a coil movement mechanism 4 including a power transmission coil 15, a table for attaching the power transmission coil, a guide member arranged on the same direction as a longitudinal direction of upper and lower cases and a driving member 13 for moving the power transmission coil to move the power transmission coil only in one direction of the longitudinal direction in a charging area; and control means for performing control so as to move the power transmission coil only to a plurality of previously set stop positions by controlling the driving member of the coil movement mechanism, transmit an intensity confirmation signal from the power transmission coil to the rechargeable battery on the stop position, measure signal intensity, and determine the stop position on which charging to the rechargeable battery is to be started. |
