PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet which has a high color optical density even in high-speed printing, is excellent in releasability from a thermal transfer sheet and suppresses density variation in highlight parts due to influence of a temperature/humidity environment in printing.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer image-receiving sheet has a receiving layer on a substrate sheet, and the receiving layer comprises a binder resin, a water-soluble resin and a release agent. The addition amount of the water-soluble resin is 0 mass% or more to less than 2 mass%, relative to the amount of the solid contents of the receiving layer. The release agent contains a silicone, and the silicone is one or more selected from emulsion type dimethyl-modified silicones, emulsion type alkyl-modified silicones, emulsion type aralkyl-modified silicones and emulsion type alkylaralkyl-modified silicones. |
