PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which two superconducting cables including at least two concentrically arranged superconductors can be easily connected electrically conductively with each other.SOLUTION: Superconductors 2, 4 and a shield which are to be connected are connected electrically conductively with each other at the ends of superconducting cables 7, 8. The ends of the superconducting cables are arranged next to each other and parallel to one another, in such a way that their free ends point in the opposite direction with each other, and their superconductors are located at least approximately on the same level with each other. The superconducting cables are secured relative to each other. Two superconductors of each of the superconducting cables are electrically conductively connected to each other through electrical contact elements 10-12 which extend transversely of the axial direction thereof. Shields of the superconducting cables are through-connected by separate contact elements 13-15 and, when a transmission path for electrical energy is constructed, the superconducting cable ends are arranged jointly in a housing 16 of a cryostat to allow a flowable cooling agent with electrically insulating properties to flow therethrough. |
