PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a peeling claw can be attached in an optical path of static charge elimination light and the static charge elimination light can be emitted to a whole area of a photoreceptor drum even in a state where the peeling claw is attached.SOLUTION: In a printer, a peeling claw 31 and an LED chip 51 for auxiliary static charge elimination are supported by a support member 60 and are placed in a space between a static charge eliminator 14 and a photoreceptor drum 10, which is an optical path of static charge elimination light. The LED chip 51 for auxiliary static charge elimination emits static charge elimination light to a shielded area which occurs on a surface of the photoreceptor 10 because light emitted from an LED chip 42A of the static charge eliminator 14 is blocked by the peeling claw 31 and the support member 60. Consequently, static charge elimination light can be emitted to the whole area of the surface of the photoreceptor 10 even though the peeling claw 31 is placed in the optical path of static charge elimination light, so that space saving can be achieved. |
