<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a service frequency band without changing the configuration of an electrostrictive vibrator, in a related ultrasonic transducer using a Langevin vibrator.SOLUTION: A sound wave converter 1 has an electrostrictive vibrator 11 performing telescopic motion depending on an electric signal, a first metal plate 12 and a second metal plate 13 holding the electrostrictive vibrator therebetween, an acoustic radiation part 15 arranged on the surface opposite to the surface of any one of the first and second metal plates holding the electrostrictive vibrator, and a loading structure for applying a compressive load to the electrostrictive vibrator. The loading structure has frequency characteristics dependent on the constitution of the electrostrictive vibrator, and a characteristic value dependent on a predetermined service frequency band.</p> |
