HEAT-EXPANDABLE RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TYRE COMPRISING SUCH A COMPOSITION

Heat-expandable rubber composition, that can be used in particular as a tyre tread, comprising at least: - a diene elastomer; - a reinforcing filler; - between 2 and 25 phr of a blowing agent; - between 2 and 25 phr of a carboxylic acid, the melting point of which is between 60°C and 220°C; - a crosslinking system based on sulphur and on 5 to 15 phr of a vulcanization accelerator; - the (carboxylic acid/accelerator) weight ratio being less than 2.0. Process for obtaining such a composition and tyre comprising same. This composition makes it possible to reduce the rolling noise of tyres without degrading the rolling resistance thereof.
