PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical channel monitor reducing the number of photodetectors and also capable of measuring the optical power of a plurality of optical channels at high speed.SOLUTION: An optical channel monitor includes: a wavelength selection element for selecting K optical channels for each of M channels among wavelength-multiplexed input optical signals of M×K channels to output; a wavelength dispersive element for dispersing the selected K optical channels into K ports different each other; and K photodetectors for measuring the power of the dispersed optical channels. M, K each represent an integer larger than 2.
