<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera apparatus capable of periodically imaging a specific imaging target area simultaneously and from a plurality of directions, by using a plurality of monitoring cameras for performing imaging while patrolling their viewing fields.SOLUTION: A first controller 4 controls a first swivelling driver 3 so that a first monitoring camera 2 repeatedly reciprocates at a first swivelling speed in a first swivelling range including a swivelling angle with the center of a viewing field of the first monitoring camera 2 directed to a specific imaging target area through which a person passes (for example, a doorway of a store). A second controller 14 controls a second swivelling driver 13 so that a second monitoring camera 12 repeatedly reciprocates at a second swivelling speed in a second swivelling range including a swivelling angle with the center of a viewing field of the second monitoring camera 12 directed to the specific imaging target area. The first and second swivelling speeds are set to be swivelling speeds so that directing the center of the viewing field of the first monitoring camera 2 to the specific imaging target area and directing the center of the viewing field of the second monitoring camera 12 to the specific imaging target area are repeatedly synchronized.</p> |
