<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print an image in a right direction on the basis of an open/close state of the flap of an envelope to be held and a position of a flap received from a user.SOLUTION: The printing device comprises: holding means for holding an envelope having a flap; determining means that determines whether the envelope is held by the holding means with the flap of the envelope being opened or the envelope is held with the flap of the envelope being closed; receiving means that receives from a user the position of the flap of the envelope held by the holding means; and control means that determines a direction of an image to be printed on the envelope, on the basis of the determination result by the determining means and the position of the flap received by the receiving means, and performs a control so that the image is printed on the envelope in the determined direction.</p> |
