<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector assembly in which a fitting part of a housing of a plug connector is unlikely to be damaged, and which includes a receptacle connector and a plug connector fitted and connected thereto, and the plug connector forming one side of the assembly.SOLUTION: A plug connector 2 comprises a reinforcing fitting mounted to an end portion 40A of a plug housing 40 in a terminal array direction, and the reinforcing fitting 60 is formed by bending a metal plate as one member. The reinforcing fitting 60 includes: a base part 61 which covers a top face positioned at an inverse side in a connector fitting direction in the end portion 40A of the plug housing 40 with a plate surface perpendicular in a connector inserting/ejecting direction in the attitude where a fitting part 43 of the plug connector 2 is turned to a lower side that is the connector fitting direction; and a side plate part 63 which covers both side faces of the end portion 40A with a plate surface parallel in both the terminal array direction and the connector inserting/ejecting direction.</p> |
