A method of evaluating an organic electroluminescence element which includes at least a light emitting layer between an anode and a cathode and has a light emitting element area of not less than 100 mm2 and not more than 1 m2. The method includes the steps of: applying a direct-current voltage not less than a light emission start voltage to the organic electroluminescence element and measuring an impedance spectrum of the organic electroluminescence element; calculating a capacitance from the impedance spectrum; and determining whether a value of the capacitance is positive or negative. |
