Disclosed are a method for pre-decoding a speech frame in advance, and a network device. The method for pre-decoding a speech frame in advance comprises: receiving some speech data of a speech frame (101); when not all speech data of the speech frame is received, decoding the received some speech data of the speech frame in advance(102); and after the decoding succeeds, continuously sending a decoding success indication to a sending device for sending the speech frame, until no speech frame sent by the sending device for sending the speech frame is detected (103), wherein the sending device for sending the speech frame stops sending the speech frame after successfully receiving the indication. The technical solution of the present invention can ensure gain effectiveness after a speech frame is successfully decoded in advance.
