<p>The present disclosure discloses methods and devices for accelerating anti-virus scanning. The methods include recording information about changes made to a selected set of files in a file system in real time as a result of an I/O operation having been processed by a computing device having a processor and selectively scanning files in the file system that were identified as modified based on the recorded information. When the recorded information includes changes made to directories which include the selected set of files in real time, the method further comprises selectively skipping scanning directories that were identified as not modified based on the recorded information.</p> |
