PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission element display device suppressing the cost of manufacture, increasing a colour reproduction range and improving colour purity.SOLUTION: The light emission element display device has a light-emitting element display panel that causes light emission regions of a plurality of sub-pixels arranged in each pixel on a display area to emit light using a drive circuit, thereby displaying an image. Each pixel includes: a first R sub-pixel (281) and a second R sub-pixel (284) emitting light of red wavelength region; a first G sub-pixel (282) and a second G sub-pixel (285) emitting light of green wavelength region; and a first B sub-pixel (283) and a second B sub-pixel (286) emitting light of blue wavelength region. The second R sub-pixel, the second G sub-pixel and the second B sub-pixel have a W electrode which is a common electrode allowing simultaneous light emission by applying a potential. The drive circuit obtains a video signal, calculates a peak luminance on a screen based on the video signal, and has a sub-pixel control section controlling the plurality of sub-pixels based on the peak luminance. |
