PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely detect even a curled form of normal paper size by using a first actuator adapted to large-size forms including the normal paper size and a second actuator arranged within a visiting card width.SOLUTION: A paper feeder includes a document placement tray 2, a pickup roller 5, and first and second actuators 21, 22 fixed to a common swing shaft. The pickup roller feeds a form set in the document placement tray. The actuators project from a placement surface of the document placement tray and are pushed as the front end of the set form abuts so as to detect the form. The first actuator is adapted to a first size in a width direction. The second actuator is arranged within a visiting card width inside the first actuator in the width direction and adapted to forms of small size less than the normal paper size. A detection side end of the second actuator is located upstream from a detection side end of the first actuator in a paper feed direction. |
