<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure, dropout and loosening of a spring body and to secure strong spring force with the compact spring body, in a tensioner of a type holding a belt from the tension side and the loose side by two idle pulleys.SOLUTION: A tensioner 4 has two arms 9, 10 rotatably mounted to a housing 6, and idle pulleys 7, 8 are mounted on outward projecting portions 9b, 10b of the arms 9, 10. Both the idle pulleys 7, 8 are biased to a direction approaching each other by a spring body 11 fixed to the arms 9, 10. The spring body 11 has a C-shape, the sides of end portions 11a, 11b are fitted to engagement recessed portions 20 formed on the arms 9, 10, and the end portions 11a, 11b are fixed to the arms 9, 10 by fasteners 18, 19.</p> |
