PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of an image forming apparatus and increase the rigidity of a frame arranged on one end of an image forming unit.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (color printer 1) includes: an image forming unit (process unit 50) having a photoreceptor drum 51 that can rotate around a rotation shaft, and a developing unit (developing cartridge 53) for supplying developer to the photoreceptor drum 51; a tabular resin frame (right-side frame 12) for supporting one end of the image forming unit in the rotation shaft direction of the photoreceptor drum 51; and a long metal beam-like member (first beam-like sheet metal 510) that is arranged and fixed along the surface of the frame. When projected in the rotation shaft direction, the beam-like member has an intermediate part 510C in the longitudinal direction overlapped with the image forming unit, and both end parts 510A and 510B arranged outside the image forming unit. |
