PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development, which is excellent in fixability and heat-resistant storage property and can be easily and efficiently produced.SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic latent image development comprises a toner core particle containing at least a binder resin, and a shell layer covering the entire surface of the toner core particle. The shell layer is composed of: an inner layer formed by using first fine particles which are resin fine particles having an average particle diameter of 100 nm or more and 300 nm or less; and an outer layer formed by second fine particles which are resin fine particles having an average particle diameter of 50 nm or less. The surface of the shell layer is smoothed to a predetermined degree. When a cross section of the toner particle for electrostatic latent image development is observed with a transmission electron microscope, cracks are observed in the inner layer, approximately perpendicular to the surface of the toner core particle. |
