PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a coating material, which enables manufacture of the coating material maintaining designability and having a photocatalyst excellent in activity fixed thereto, and the coating material maintaining the designability and having the photocatalyst excellent in the activity fixed thereto.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a coating material includes a coating step of coating a base material with a peroxotitanium oxide, and an ultraviolet irradiation step of applying ultraviolet rays to the peroxotitanium oxide applied to the base material. The coating material comprises the base material and a coating layer obtained by applying the ultraviolet rays to the peroxotitanium oxide applied to the base material. |
