PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding apparatus capable of processing a carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin efficiently.SOLUTION: In a molding apparatus 1, a die 3 and a punch 22 are composed of materials different in thermal expansion coefficient, and used constituent members of the die 3 in an upper die 1a have thermal expansion coefficients close to that of a to-be-molded object 2. The configuration can reduce gaps between the mold and the object 2 produced in cooling. The molding apparatus 1 can thereby apply a vertical-direction pressure uniformly to the contact surface of the object 2 coming in contact with the die 3, leading to uniformity of the plate thickness. |
