PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a master transfer original plate for security cards which enables low-cost and simple production of a security card having high visibility.SOLUTION: In a method of producing a master transfer original plate for security cards, the master transfer original plate produced has a substrate flat surface part and a transfer shape part on one side of a metal substrate, and the transfer shape has a plurality of curved surface convex parts which are striped and have a curved surface in the top part and convex parts which are provided between adjacent curved surface convex parts. The method includes an etching step of etching one side of a metal substrate material to form the plurality of striped convex parts and concave parts between the convex parts in the transfer shape part and the substrate flat surface plate and a step of polishing the top parts of the convex parts to form curved surface convex parts having a curved surface in the top part.
