The present invention provides a method and device for changing multimedia data service quality by using a sensor. The present invention includes: receiving multimedia data from a server; filtering received multimedia data, decoding and rendering filtered data; measuring a user's awareness of a terminal through at least one sensor connected to the terminal; determining, based on the measured awareness, whether there is a need to change the multimedia data service quality; and transmitting information needed for changing the service quality to the server when it is determined that there is the need to change the service quality.
