A method for regeneration of a sulfur-poisoned fuel cell stack, especially a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) stack, consists in feeding a suitable gas to the anode in the presence of water in a reducing atmosphere. The feed gas can e.g. be hydrogen or a gas containing AdBlue, and the method can be conducted in a once-through system or a system based on recycling to maintain a high regeneration speed, optionally comprising one or more adsorption beds to remove sulfur from the recycle gas. |
