This light source apparatus is provided with: a light source; a diffusion member that diffuses light emitted from the light source; a reflection sheet that reflects the light to the diffusion member, said light having been emitted from the light source; a storing housing that houses the diffusion member and the reflection sheet such that the diffusion member and the reflection sheet face each other; and an aligning section, which is provided in the storing section, and which determines positions of the diffusion member and the reflection sheet in the storing housing. A protruding section is provided on one end portion of the reflection sheet, said protruding section being at a position corresponding to, in the facing direction, a diffusion member cutout corresponding to the aligning section, thereby increasing light reflectivity in the vicinity of the diffusion member cutout. |
