<p>Research data maps can be generated from a database, based on a user selection of a parameter representing a selected agent or target of an experiment, the database containing experimental results data corresponding to relationships, determined by experiments, between the agent or target and other agents and/or targets. The research map includes nodes and edges, each of the nodes representing an agent and/or target and connected to another node by one of the edges; wherein each of the edges indicates a causal relationship between connected nodes based on one or more of the determined relationships. A hypothesis may be generated positing a causal relationship between two of the nodes A and C, separated by at least one other node B, wherein one of the nodes A, B, or C represents the selected agent or target.</p> |
