PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater unit capable of preventing an electrode part from being damaged in interference-fit of a ceramic heater, and a glow plug with the same.SOLUTION: In the configuration of a glow plug 1, an outer cylinder 8 holds a ceramic heater 2 and a connection ring 75 is fixed to a heater rear end portion 23. In the ceramic heater 2, exposed surfaces 15 and 16 of electrode extraction parts 25 and 26 are located inside relatively to a position of a side peripheral surface 20 of a substrate 21 in a radial direction relative to an axial line AX and functioned as a release margin for a compression force in interference-fit of the ceramic heater 2 with the outer cylinder 8 and the connection ring 75. Therefore, even if the compression force in the interference-fit with the outer cylinder 8 and the connection ring 75 is increased more than the prior arts, the electrode extraction parts 25 and 26 can be prevented from being damaged. |
