PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of an image forming apparatus and increase the rigidity of a frame arranged on one end of an image forming unit.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit having a photoreceptor drum that can rotate around a rotation shaft, and a developing unit for supplying developer to the photoreceptor drum; a tabular resin frame (right-side frame 12) that is arranged on one end of the image forming unit in the rotation shaft direction of the photoreceptor drum; and a long beam-like member (first beam-like sheet metal 510) that is arranged and fixed along the surface of the frame. The beam-like member is composed of material different from that of the frame, and includes a first fixed part (upper end part 510A) fixed to the frame in an immobilized state and a second fixed state (lower end part 510B) fixed to the frame to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the beam-like member. |
