PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selected character specification program, a selected character specification method, and a selected character specification device that actualize further effective character selection processing.SOLUTION: Selected character specification processing by a selected character specification program includes: a character region detection step of detecting a character region showing an area where each of characters of a display character string is displayed based upon character string display information including the position of a head character of the display character string, character sizes of the respective characters, and line spacing; a stroke specification step of specifying strokes of a closed curved line specified on a screen through user's operation; and a selected character specification step of specifying, as a selected character, one or a plurality of successive characters such that the area ratio of a selection region, based upon uppermost and lowermost, and right and left points of the strokes of the closed curved line in the character region, to the character region exceeds a threshold among the respective characters of the display character string overlapping the strokes of the closed curved line. |
