<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a part of a medium softened and separated with heat of a stopped rotating member which has fixed a toner image, from sticking to a part of the rotating member where the toner image is formed.SOLUTION: Conveyance means 103 conveys a belt-like medium (a continuous sheet, for example). Fixing means 102 fixes a toner image formed on the continuous sheet and passing through a nip area N1, to the medium. Control means 101 controls the fixing means 102 so as to prevent the medium softened by heat of a heated rotating member from sticking to the rotating member. The control means 101 stops the rotating member when a temperature of a part of the rotating member in contact with the medium is equal to or lower than a first temperature. The control means 101 stops the rotating member using the first temperature which is less than a temperature at which a softened layer of the medium is softened, for example. The control means 101 controls the conveyance means 103 to reduce the speed of conveying the medium after fixing the toner image to the medium.</p> |
