<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable power optical system in which a lens group for focusing is reduced in size and weight, and to provide an optical device and a method for manufacturing the variable power optical system.SOLUTION: A variable power optical system ZL to be used in an optical device such as a camera 1, includes, in order from the object side: a first lens group having a positive refractive power; a second lens group having a negative refractive power; a third lens group having a negative refractive power; a fourth lens group having a positive refractive power; a fifth lens group having a negative refractive power; and a sixth lens group having a positive refractive power. When varying power from a wide angle end state to a telephoto end state, the distances between the lens groups are changed. When focusing from an infinite object to a short distance object, the third lens group moves in the optical axis direction.</p> |
