A suspension strut (10) comprises a coil spring (14) and a suspension stop (18). The stop (18) is rotated by a plain bearing or roller bearing (20) comprising a metal top washer (22) and a metal bottom washer (24). The stop comprises a unitary cup (34) having an upper face (36) comprising an area (38) of contact with the bottom washer (24) of the bearing and a lower face (42) comprising a planar outer annular shoulder (44) and an at least partially cylindrical annular seat (46) turned radially outwards and delimiting, with the outer shoulder (44), a peripheral annular support area (47) for the top end of the coil spring (14). The upper face (36) of the unitary cup (34) comprises reinforcement ribs (40, 140) located radially outside the contact area. The unitary cup (34) comprises a partition (49) forming an annular fold (48) constituting the containment face (54) and the annular seat (46), the containment face (54) being located radially within the annular seat (46), the upper face (36) of the unitary cup (34) comprising reinforcement ribs (40, 140) extending into the annular fold (48) of the partition (49). |
