An electronic device is provided with: a touch panel including a display surface that displays an image and capable of sensing the position of contact of an object with the display surface; a vibration generation unit that generates vibration; a storage unit that stores waveform data associated with a subject in the image; and a control unit that causes the vibration generation unit to vibrate based on the waveform data associated, in the storage unit, with the subject in the image when the object contacts the subject in the image being displayed on the display surface. The control unit controls enlarging or decreasing the image displayed on the display surface on the basis of a predetermined input.
