<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a port detection method which can identify a port for a switch having a connection terminal connected thereto even in a network environment where switches are connected in multiple stages, and a port detection program, an examination terminal and a network system. <P>SOLUTION: A port detection method is designed to identify a port P having a connection terminal Nj connected thereto in a network which includes a plurality of switches Si each having a MAC address learning table and connected in multiple stages, a connection terminal Nj and an examination terminal T. The port detection method includes a process of extracting pair information from the MAC address learning table of the switch Si, a process of storing the pair information, and a process of deleting, from a set consisting of pairs, all of pairs including a port P corresponding to the MAC address M(Si) of the switch Si, and pairs including a port P corresponding to the MAC address M(T) of the extermination terminal T, to identify the port P having the connection terminal Nj connected thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
