<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker in which an arc current being generated between contacts can be increased without changing the structure of a current interruption part significantly. <P>SOLUTION: The circuit breaker comprises a stationary contactor 1, a movable contactor 2, and an arc-extinguishing device 14 having a plurality of arc-extinguishing plates and extinguishing an arc 5 generated between a stationary contact 1a and a movable contact 2a. At least one arc-extinguishing plate is formed of a high resistor 13 composed of a material having a high volume resistivity when compared with the stationary contactor 1, the stationary contact 1a, the movable contactor 2, and the movable contact 2a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
