<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and clearly identify a desired bin tag without requiring work in a place allowing an operator to directly reach the bin tag, in an electronic bin tag system. <P>SOLUTION: When a handy terminal (an operation terminal) 20 is moved toward a desired shelf position and operated in a place where the respective shelf positions 1a, 1b, ... distant from commodity display shelves 1 can be viewed, a movement direction detected by a built-in acceleration sensor is transmitted to a server device 30. In the server device 30, a selected shelf position is specified from a coordinate range of the respective shelf positions 1a, 1b, ..., a tier number and an arrangement number stored in an electronic bin tag arrangement master on the basis of the movement direction received from the terminal 20, and a lighting instruction signal of a light emitting device 12 is transmitted to an electronic bin tag 10 of a bin tag ID associated with the shelf position.
