<p>In the present invention, disclosed are a driving apparatus of a rear camera for a vehicle which determines a cause of the failure of the rear camera and stores the cause in a memory when an image of the rear camera for a vehicle is not normally displayed when a vehicle reverse gear is operated, and a controlling method thereof. The driving apparatus of a rear camera for a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a power supply unit supplying power to the camera; the camera photographing an image and outputting an analog image signal when the power is supplied from the power supply unit; an image conversion unit receiving the analog image signal outputted from the camera, and converting the signal into a digital image signal; a micom supplying the power to the camera by controlling the power supply unit as received an operation signal of the camera, determining whether a supply state of the power supplied to the camera is normal, and determining whether the analog image signal outputted from the camera and the digital image signal converted from the image conversion unit are normal; and a memory receiving and storing the power supply state, and an abnormal code in accordance with the abnormality of the analog image signal and the digital image signal from the micom.</p> |
