<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system of a vehicle and a control method therefor, by which temeperature of an inverter element is reduced when an electric motor is locked and a comfort satisfaction characteristic for a driver is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The drive system of the vehicle includes the electric motor (motor-generator MG2), an inverter 14 for driving the electric motor, and a control device 30 for periodically outputting a torque command value to the invertrer 14 to thereby control the electric motor. The control device 30 decides a next torque command value while changing a torque change ratio, depending on whether a present torque command value belongs to a high torque region or a low torque region as a region lower than the high torque region, if the magnitude of the present torque command value is larger than a continuous permissible value and the rotation speed of the electric motor is higher than predetermined speed and a current passing through the electric motor is higher than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
