Heading A5'B, ([Also in Division C3] An anti-silicotic pharmaceutical compositon comprises a polyimidamine 'oxide and an inert sold or liquid diluent or carrier. The polymers contain per molecules n residues of the formula: and m residues of the formula: where Z is a comonomer unit, A is the radical of a primary, tertiary polyamine A NH 2 and B is the radical of a primary amine B NH 2 , and the ratio n:m is between 90:10 and 40:60 and the sum n+m is between 50 and 500 and are obtainable by reacting a mixture of the amines A NH 2 and 'B NH 2 ; with a maleic anhydride copolymer and subsequently oxidising and, if necessary cyclizing. In the Examples solutions of the polymers are administered to rats. |
