<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that ensures relative and absolute positional relation between a photoreceptor shaft and a transfer roller shaft without losing easy transferability of a process unit and a transfer unit. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a process unit mounted on a transfer unit and configured to be integrally drawn out. The process unit mounted on the transfer unit and bearings on both sides of the process unit for holding a transfer roller both have positioning means and are positioned by the respective positioning means.
