<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make pipes expandable and contractible with respect to each other, bendable at a predetermined bending angle without breaking a connecting part when the pipes are bent with respect to each other, and easily and quickly connectable at a site. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a pipe connecting structure for connecting a plurality of pipes 10. One end of each of the pipes 10 is provided with a socket 12 and the other end is provided with a spigot 13. The spigot 13 of each pipe 10 is inserted into the socket 12 of the adjacent pipe 10. A ring-like sealing material 17 is provided at the end of the spigot. The socket 12 is provided with a housing 12b having a straight part where the sealing material 17 is slidable and a taper part 12c which expands a diameter toward the end from the housing.
